Taylor Swift is reportedly ready to announce “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” release during a triumphant Grammy acceptance speech. However, everyone was shocked after the girlfriend of Travis Kelce failed to secure a trophy despite having six nominations for “The Tortured Poets Department” album.
Sources suggested that Taylor’s Grammy defeat may have overshadowed the opportunity for a big album reveal. Avid followers of the “Blank Space” hitmaker even dissected subtle hints in her social media posts and combed through her red-carper ensemble to telltale signs.
Others even suggested that Taylor left cryptic messages referencing “Reputation” in tweets and public appearances. But the plan allegedly depended on a win.

Despite this, fans are still convinced that the re-release of the “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” is on the horizon. Each album—“Fearless (Taylor’s Version” and “Red (Taylor’s Version)”—has introduced new spins on classic songs, alongside previously unreleased “vault” tracks.
Today’s Esquire cannot independently verify the claims that Taylor Swift was set to announce her alleged “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” album at the 2025 Grammys. So, avid followers of the “Cornelia Street” singer should take all these speculations lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
Meanwhile, Taylor did not appear bothered by the losses. As a matter of fact, she celebrated the winners and performers while in the audience at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Taylor also presented Beyonce, who finally clinched album of the year after losing four times, with the trophy for best country album. Had she won the coveted album of the year for 2024’s “The Tortured Poets Department,” it would have been her fifth win in the category–having earned the title in 2024 for “Midnights,” 2021 for “Folklore,” 2016 for “1989” and 2010 for “Fearless.”
Previously, Taylor expressed how honored she was to have received so much recognition for “The Tortured Poets Department” album shortly after the 2025 Grammy nominations were revealed.
“You guys did something so amazing over the course of the last few months. I just mean what you did with embracing ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ the album. It’s truly blown my mind because it’s really emotional for me that this album, I wrote it during the Eras Tour,” Taylor told the audience at her Eras Tour show in Toronto in November.
