Jennifer Aniston has reportedly tried to reach out to Michelle Obama after reports linking her to former President Barack Obama surfaced online. The “FRIENDS” actress is said to be “mortified” after she has been once again dragged into bizarre divorce rumors.
The ex-wife of Justin Theroux was first linked to Barack after InTouch Magazine published an article in 2024 suggesting that she had upset the former FLOTUS by taking too much of her husband’s attention at a fundraiser.
While the alleged affair was shut down immediately, it has not stopped Jennifer’s name from being mentioned again after unconfirmed reports that Michelle and Barack’s marriage is on the rocks after the ex-First Lady was a no-show from a string of official events recently.
The pair have since debunked the rumors, with Barack promulgating Michelle as “the love of my life.” An unnamed source told Woman’s Day Australia that Jennifer is absolutely pissed off.
“She been trying to get hold of Michelle for days. She knows it’s ridiculous and she knows the Obamas know that too, but this is a particularly sensitive subject for Jen. She knows what it’s like to go through a high-profile cheating scandal and she’s deeply sensitive about being tagged ‘the other woman’ after what happened in her first marriage,” the anonymous insider added.
Another informant suggested that Jennifer is “completely baffled” by the “baseless” speculation. However, the Murder Mystery star is most concerned about Michelle, specifically how the rumors might affect her.
Amid the ongoing divorce rumors are claims that the move could come with significant financial consequences for Michelle and Barack. The couple have built an empire together with an estimated net worth of $70 million, a remarkable increase from the $800,000 they amassed before moving into White House in 2009.
Barack, according to reports, earned an annual base salary of $400,000 when he was the president. Also, he allegedly received a presidential pension worth $207,000 per year.
The Obamas also secured a whopping $60 million deal for their memoirs, established an entertainment company to produce content for Netflix, launched podcasts and started lucrative speaking engagements.
Michelle Obama and Barack Obama have yet to comment on the reports romantically linking Jennifer Aniston to the former POTUS. So, avid followers of the first couple and the Office Christmas Party star should take all these unverified claims with a grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.
