Sources claim Baldoni’s legal team is considering subpoenaing the Grammy-winning singer to testify in the ongoing legal dispute between Lively and Baldoni over allegations of sexual harassment and a toxic work environment.
The lawsuit stems from Lively’s December 2024 claims that Baldoni created a hostile workplace while directing It Ends With Us. In response, Baldoni countersued, alleging Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, led a smear campaign against him. Swift, reportedly present at a key production meeting, may be called as a witness to shed light on behind-the-scenes tensions.

According to insiders, Swift unknowingly attended a meeting at Lively’s apartment during the film’s development, unaware that Baldoni would be there. She reportedly expressed enthusiasm for the project but was not involved in creative decisions. However, Baldoni later claimed Swift indirectly influenced script changes pushed by Lively. Additionally, actress Isabela Ferrer alleged that Swift played a role in her casting process.
Legal experts believe Swift’s testimony could be pivotal in determining whether Baldoni’s claims hold weight. If subpoenaed, she would be questioned under oath, with a court reporter documenting every word.
A Strained Friendship in the Spotlight
As the lawsuit unfolds, sources say Swift and Lively’s longtime friendship has become strained. The singer reportedly feels uncomfortable being dragged into the legal battle and has been noticeably distant from Lively in recent months. The two, once inseparable, have not been seen together publicly since the lawsuit was filed.
Public relations specialist Adrienne Uthe suggested Swift wants no part in the controversy. “Taylor has distanced herself from this, and I understand why. She likely hopes to avoid getting caught in the mess entirely,” Uthe told Fox News Digital.
