Recent leaks suggest the first look at the Nintendo Switch 2 UI may be just around the corner, as a reported real unit has powered on. Alongside potential UI reveals, new patents hint at expanded Joy-Con attachment possibilities, adding to the growing anticipation ahead of the console’s launch later this year.

It appears like the first glimpse at the user interface of the Nintendo Switch 2 could be coming very soon, according to some findings that have been discovered recently.

The Xiahongshu forums member who received a CAD model of the system the previous year and is now claiming to have a real unit in their hands has disclosed that this alleged real machine can be powered on, as reported on the Famiiboards forums by user Kysen. Kysen is also the guy who obtained the CAD model.

As a result, there is a very good probability that we will not only be able to view the user interface of the console in the near future, but we may also be able to learn more about some of the distinctive characteristics of the console, such as the function of the new button on the new Joy-Con controller, as well as other information.

The new Nintendo Switch 2 controllers appear to have missed an opportunity to enhance their utility by not including anything other than the enigmatic new button.

One of the official patents appears to imply that the new Joy-Con controllers might be attached to the system in more than two different ways, as was reported on the subreddit that is dedicated to the console. The patent also proposes that the screen rotates based on how the Joy-Con controllers are mounted, which might lead to some intriguing uses. This invention could lead to some fascinating applications.

Despite the fact that Nintendo is typically quite successful at keeping its future hardware a secret before making official announcements, this was not the case with the Nintendo Switch 2, primarily because of the length of time it took for the firm to disclose it.

There have been several leaks, and as a result, we have gained a significant amount of knowledge regarding the specifications of the system, how they compare to current gaming systems, and what the developers will be able to accomplish with it.

The Nintendo Switch 2 will be released worldwide this year. No official release date has been announced as of yet.
