Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are facing intense criticism after being accused of relentlessly pursuing legal action against a disabled military veteran in a bitter mansion dispute.

Kameron Westcott, Real Housewives of Dallas alum, has publicly condemned the couple for continuing their legal battle against her 85-year-old father-in-law, Carl Westcott, who suffers from Huntington’s disease. She claims Perry and Bloom are heartlessly pursuing millions from the ailing veteran while he spends his final days in a Dallas memory care center.

“It’s heartbreaking that someone can be so greedy,” Westcott said, expressing her outrage over the situation.

    A Controversial Real Estate Deal

The conflict began in 2020 when Perry purchased Westcott’s 8.9-acre Montecito estate for nearly $15 million. Soon after the sale, Westcott filed a legal challenge, arguing that he had been under heavy medication following back surgery when he signed the agreement. He claimed he was not in the right state of mind to make such a significant financial decision and expressed his dying wish to remain in his home.

Despite his pleas, a judge ultimately ruled in favor of Perry and Bloom, officially awarding them the property in 2024. However, Perry is now seeking $6 million from Westcott, demanding back rent and compensation for alleged damages to the home.

    Family Outrage Over Legal Battle

The Westcott family has been vocal about their frustration, calling out Perry and Bloom for what they see as unnecessary cruelty. Kameron Westcott emphasized that their only concern is ensuring Carl’s last days are peaceful, but the ongoing legal fight is making that difficult.

“They are not backing down,” she stated, referring to Perry and Bloom’s relentless pursuit of the case.

Westcott’s son, Chart, also weighed in on the dispute, directing sharp criticism at Perry. He questioned why a multimillionaire singer would feel the need to demand additional money from a man in declining health.

“I’d remind her that money, power, and fame do not relieve you of your responsibility to be decent,” he said.

What’s Next for the Mansion Feud?

Neither Perry nor Bloom has publicly addressed the latest backlash. With the judge already ruling in their favor, the couple remains legally entitled to the estate. However, the court battle over the additional $6 million continues, adding further strain to the already contentious dispute.

As the legal battle drags on, the Westcott family continues to fight for what they believe is justice. They hope that public pressure will convince Perry and Bloom to drop their financial demands and allow Carl to live his final days in peace.

For now, the mansion feud remains unresolved, but the controversy surrounding Perry’s handling of the situation is far from over.
