Jessica Alba reportedly walked away from a “sexless” 16-year marriage to producer Cash Warren. The Hollywood hottie, according to reports, believes she is too young to give up on having a real romance in her life, adding that she is willing to forfeit her massive $100 million fortune for the chance to find love again.
Unnamed sources suggested that Alba finally pulled the plug on their marriage after debating leaving Cash for years but consideration for their kids—Honor, Haven and Hayes—made her stick it out until recently.
“The spark had totally gone out of their marriage, but she kept it together because of the children. But now she knows she wasn’t doing the kids, or herself, any good staying in a marriage in which she was profoundly unhappy,” the insider told National Enquirer.
It is claimed that Alba amassed a fortune after establishing her billion-dollar baby and household products business called The Honest Company in 2012. Though the “Fantastic Four” star slowed her career to focus on her family and business, Warren gave up his work as a filmmaker to become a househusband.
Alba hinted about her dying marriage in April when she divulged during an appearance on Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt’s podcast and she and Warren no longer had date nights. At the time, the actress also revealed that they were more like “cohabitants” than a married couple.
“It’s all rosy for two and a half years, but then after that, you become roommates. You’re just going through the motions. It’s the responsibility. It’s a lot of, like, checking the boxes,” Alba shared.
In December, the “Trigger Warning” star dropped more clues on a post online. “My mantra for 2025: If it messes with my peace, it’s too damn pricey…If it makes me question my worth, it’s getting left in 2024. I’m entering 2025 focused and fully in my power,” Alba wrote on Instagram.
The informant suggested that the split means Warren is going to be cashless. Though he may well get $2 million a year in alimony, he is said to make the argument that he significantly helped greatly with Alba’s success in the business world as her husband for so long.
“But [Alba’ feels that’s a small price to play to not put their children through some nasty divorce battle, and also to be free to find the true love of her life. This is a move she wished she had made years ago,” the mole furthered.
On Saturday, Alba was spotted ditching her wedding ring two weeks after confirming she had split from her husband of 15 years. The “Killers Anonymous” star, according to Daily Mail, appeared tense as she held Hayes’ hand while making a quick trip to a local Target store.
Alba, alongside Derek Blasberg, was also seen without her wedding band as she partied up with fellow Hollywood A-lister at a pre-Golden Globes bash earlier this month.
Alba and Warren tied the knot in May 2008 after they met on the set of the Fantastic Four movie in 2004. The reason behind their breakup remains unclear up to this writing.
