iPhone 17 Air Features and Specs: Leak Exposes Radical Camera Shift—Thinnest Model Yet Replaces Plus

Leaked renders from FPT’s YouTube channel show the iPhone 17 Air’s 5.5mm-thick frame and a protruding pill-shaped camera bar, potentially replacing Apple’s Plus model. Jon Prosser, known for accurate leaks, shared the design details.

When compared side-by-side, the Apple iPhone 17 Air and the ‘Pro’ variant will appear very different. Images from FPT’s most recent YouTube video are shown here for your perusal. Working together, @zellzoi and I developed those photos.

A camera bar will be located on the upper right side of the phone. That camera bar will stick out like a sore thumb due to its pill shape. There will be one camera, located in the upper left corner. The camera’s LED flash and microphone will be located on the other side of the bar.

As with previous iPhones, the phone will have a flat front, back, and sides with sharply rounded corners. This is also where you will find the button that allows you to power on or lock the phone, as well as the key that controls the camera.

However, it is quite probable that the Action Button will also be included in the picture, and the controls for increasing and decreasing the volume will be located on the left-hand side of the device. The Dynamic Island will be located on the front of the phone, while the Apple logo will be positioned squarely in the middle of the rear of the device.

Reportedly, the thinnest part of the Apple iPhone 17 Air will measure a mere 5.5 mm. It is anticipated that the gadget would be available later this year. We have no need to dispute the design that Jon Prosser, the guy behind FPT, gave, according to Android Headlines, because he is generally pretty precise with such details.

Along with other iPhone 17 models, this smartphone will most likely be released. To rephrase, it will be released at the same time as the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, assuming those names are indeed finalized.

Considering that this phone has been speculated to take the place of the ‘Plus’ iPhone model for a considerable amount of time, Apple will once again have four phones as part of the main iPhone series, but the ‘Plus’ iPhone will not be included.
