Hilaria Calls Out Alec for Interrupting Her
The couple was attending the reopening of Planet Hollywood in New York City on March 11 when Hilaria, 41, was asked about their TLC reality show, The Baldwins. As she began to answer, Alec, 66, chimed in with a comment about the show’s success.
Before he could continue, Hilaria cut him off. She told him that when she speaks, he should not talk. She then joked that his interruptions were the reason she might have to cut him from the show.
Alec attempted to play along, but Hilaria continued scolding him. Later in the interview, she accused him of distracting her when he randomly asked about the Spanish word for “essential.”

The moment escalated when Alec tried to compliment Hilaria, telling her she was beautiful. Instead of taking the comment lightly, she told him to stop because it was not “cute” and was only distracting her.
At one point, she rolled her eyes and threatened to walk out of the interview. Alec eventually stepped aside as Hilaria tried to regain focus and answer questions about raising seven children.
Once the clip circulated on social media, many users criticized Hilaria’s tone. Some called her rude, while others said she treated Alec like an embarrassing father instead of a husband. One commenter joked that they never thought they would feel the need to defend Alec Baldwin.
Inside the Baldwins’ Chaotic Family Life
The Baldwins, who married in 2012, share seven children: Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 6, Eduardo, 4, María, 4, and Ilaria, 2. Alec also has a 29-year-old daughter, Ireland Baldwin, from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger.
Their family’s daily life is documented in their TLC reality show, which premiered last month. Alec previously hinted at the possibility of a show during an interview with Kelly Ripa in 2023, and the couple eventually confirmed the project in 2024.
Despite the backlash over her red carpet behavior, Hilaria has not addressed the criticism. Alec also remained silent on the issue, although he has been known to brush off public scrutiny in the past.
