Elon Musk Rips MSNBC for Spinning Trump’s Tesla Attack Warning

Elon Musk blasted MSNBC on X after the network spun President Trump’s warning about violent Tesla attacks into a protest crackdown. Calling the segment insane, Musk clarified that peaceful protests are fine, but shootings and arson at Tesla sites are unacceptable.

Attacks on Tesla have increased significantly in the past several months, perhaps due to Elon Musk’s involvement with the Trump administration and his growing political nature, Teslarati reports.

There have been reports of arson, vandalism, and gunshot wounds to Tesla showrooms. Fires have also broken out at supercharger stations. Additionally, a Tesla store was the target of a Molotov cocktail attack.

The worst part is that critics and vandals have even targeted private Tesla owners’ vehicles. An anti-Tesla protester assaulted one Cybertruck owner’s all-electric pickup truck, causing one of his passengers to sustain physical injuries, as the owner shared on social media.

In light of these incidents, Trump issued a strong warning to anyone considering attacking Tesla. In Trump’s view, the punishment for those who harm American businesses, “especially a company like this that supplies so many jobs that others are unable to do,” will be severe.

In an MSNBC piece, the president of the United States was portrayed as only protecting a fellow billionaire whose business is collapsing. The hosts and panelists from the media outlet completely ignored the recent spate of deadly and violent attacks targeting Tesla and Tesla owners.

“You also, overnight, have his post claiming that protests at Tesla dealerships are illegal. He (Trump) said today he would label violence against dealerships domestic terrorism… So just to be clear, you protest a private company, you are labeled by this administration a domestic terrorist,” MSNBC pointed out.

Musk was quite blunt in his assessment of the news organization. “Wow, they’re totally insane,” Musk tweeted in response to a video shared on X of MSNBC’s episode. Also, Musk made it clear that while it’s fine to protest peacefully, it’s unacceptable to harm Tesla stores or set Superchargers on fire.

    In his post, Musk wrote:

    Wow, they’re totally insane.

Death threats, shooting up Tesla stores and burning down Superchargers are definitely not “legitimate forms of protest”!
