Justin Timberlake, rattled by his June DWI arrest, hopes a third child with wife Jessica Biel will mend their rocky marriage, sources tell GLOBE. The 44-year-old singer, still reeling from the Hamptons incident, believes a baby could anchor Biel, 43, amid growing distance. However, experts warn this fix could backfire, adding stress—not solutions—to their union.

Timberlake’s troubles began June 18, when Sag Harbor police pulled him over at 12:37 a.m. after he allegedly ran a stop sign and veered into the wrong lane. Leaving the American Hotel after partying, the “SexyBack” star saw his DWI charge reduced to a fine and a public apology, thanks to his fame. Now, a source says he fears Biel is slipping away, a tension simmering since that night.

    Baby as a Band-Aid?

The couple, parents to sons Silas, 9, and Phineas, 4, face strain, and Timberlake thinks a third kid—ideally a girl—could refocus Biel. The insider reveals she’s happiest when pregnant, fueling his plan. Transitioning from crisis to hope, he sees a baby as a way to keep her close. Yet, experts disagree sharply.

Dr. John Gottman, a noted psychologist, wrote in the Journal of Family Psychology that 67% of couples experience a drop in marital satisfaction after a baby. The American Psychological Association, via womansdivorce.com, highlights how infants drain time and energy, taxing even solid marriages. Theherohusbandproject.com adds that a baby isn’t a fix—it’s a 24/7 commitment that often worsens cracks.

    Experts Warn, Timberlake Persists

Despite the data, Timberlake clings to his idea, the source notes. Biel once mused about wanting a daughter, and he’s banking on that dream. After his DWI embarrassment, he’s desperate to stabilize their bond. Ironically, a new child might curb his late-night bar runs, keeping him home instead of behind the wheel.

For now, the couple navigates uncertainty. Experts urge caution, but Timberlake’s delusion—or determination—drives him forward. Will a baby heal their woes or widen the rift? Time will tell if this gamble pays off or flops.
