Sean “Diddy” Combs is making headlines after a cryptic phone call from prison, where he warned Kanye West to stay cautious. Speaking from the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Brooklyn, the 55-year-old music mogul expressed concern that powerful figures were working against them.
“You be careful out there ’cause they definitely trying to end us,” Combs told West in a call captured on video and shared by The Shade Room.
Combs, who faces federal charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, remains confident he will overcome his legal troubles. “They can’t do it and they ain’t gonna do it,” he told West. “I’m going to beat this and get next to you.”
Diddy Pushes Kanye to Return to Music
During the call, Combs encouraged West to focus on his music career. “I need to see you back on that stage, actually rapping and performing,” he said. “I be dreaming of that.”
West, 47, agreed, stating that he feels ready to return to music and reclaim his place in the industry. “Yeah, it’s time for me to just grab the mic and get back on,” he responded. “It’s like I love music again.”
Combs, known for his impact on hip-hop and R&B, also urged West to have fun and ignore negativity. “F— these other motherf—ers wasting your time,” he said.
Kanye Stands by Diddy Amid Legal Troubles
West has publicly supported Combs as the music executive awaits trial, which is scheduled for May 5. In February, the Vultures 1 rapper posted “FREE PUFF” on X (formerly Twitter), criticizing celebrities for not speaking out in Combs’ defense.
He also praised Combs as a father, stating that the embattled mogul is a “way better dad than me.”
During the call, Combs expressed gratitude toward West for checking in on his seven children. “Ain’t nobody reach out to them, ain’t nobody call,” Combs said, adding that it meant a lot to him that West had taken them under his wing.
West acknowledged Combs’ appreciation and credited him as a mentor. “I love you so much, man,” he said. “You raised me even when I didn’t know you.”

An insider revealed that Kardashian was “furious” about the release. She reportedly wants to “protect [her children] from being around Kanye’s controversial behavior.”
