Chrissy Teigen is firing back at online critics who have mocked her appearance, specifically targeting those who commented on her cheek fillers. The model and TV personality took to Instagram over the weekend to call out what she described as “miserable” people who go out of their way to criticize others online.
Teigen Blasts Trolls for Negative Comments
In a series of Instagram Stories, the 39-year-old addressed the relentless scrutiny she faces over her looks. She expressed frustration, stating that people used to keep their unkind thoughts to themselves before social media gave them an open platform to tear others down.
She compared it to the past, when people would flip through magazines, judge celebrities in their heads, and move on. But now, she said, people feel the need to type out their negativity and post it for the world to see.
Mocking some of the harsh comments she has received, Teigen imitated critics who questioned why she would alter her appearance. She sarcastically reenacted their words, saying people constantly ask why she would fill her cheeks or do anything to her lips.
Her message was clear: people should learn to keep unnecessary negative thoughts to themselves instead of spewing them all over social media.
Sleep Gummy Confession and Past Clapbacks
After her passionate video, Teigen later admitted that her social media rant may have been influenced by a sleep gummy. She posted a follow-up message, joking that the late-night tirade was prompted by the gummy kicking in.
She explained that no matter what she shares online, someone always finds something to critique—whether it’s her appearance, home decor, or even her children’s clothing. Despite the constant criticism, she ended her post on a positive note, saying she still has love for her detractors, even if they seem a little “off.”
This is not the first time Teigen has hit back at online trolls. Just last month, she defended herself after being mom-shamed for taking a “coconut milk bath” with three of her children. And in June, she clapped back at critics who were disgusted by a photo of her in a tub full of “dirty” bath water.
