Angelina Jolie is said to be “furious” that she was snubbed by the Oscars after winning widespread raves for her role as Maria Callas, and she is allegedly placing the blame squarely on the broad shoulders of her no-hated ex-husband, Brad Pitt.
An unnamed source suggested that Angelina was fully expecting to win the Oscar since there was a lot of buzz about how her acting performance in Maria was a “career-defining” role.
“The face that she didn’t even get nominated is unbelievable to her,” it added. Now, the mom of six is reportedly convinced that Brad turned Hollywood against her.
“She believed this would be the role that would return her to the top of the Hollywood heap. She’s sure that being totally passed over is Brad’s work,” the anonymous insider told the entertainment news outlet.
Most, if not all, fans are aware that Angelina and Brad’s marriage fell apart in 2016. Their split devolved into a vicious court battle that lasted eight years until a judge finally made it official late in December.
“Angelina feels that Brad purposely tried to make her look like the bad guy in their breakup, and she’s convinced his smear campaign worked,” the informant claimed.
It went on to say that Brad may have had help from his other former ladylove, Jennifer Aniston, who allegedly still has an ax to grind with the Salt actress.
“It’s been 20 years since Angelina stole Brad from Jennifer, but she still hasn’t forgiven her. And there are plenty of powerful people in the industry who are on her side,” the mole added.
Still, tattlers suggested Brad is getting the brunt of Angelina’s contempt. The Eternals star has reportedly told pals that he blanketed Hollywood with disturbing stories about how she willingly destroyed his marriage to Jennifer and treated him like crap.
“This, she says, was supported by Jen and her showbiz allies who have bad-mouthed Angie all over town, ruining her reputation and possibly even her career,” the naysayer explained.
However, a source close to Brad denied he ever trash-talked Angelina or enlisted Jennifer to spread rumors. The Maleficent actress got a Golden Globes nod but lost to Fernanda Torres for her portrayal in the Portuguese-language biopic I’m Still Here.
The snubs have allegedly reinforced her snowballing hatred of Hollywood and could catalyze a shift away from showbiz and into her humanitarian work.
“Angie’s been saying for years how badly she wants to leave Tinseltown and all the fake people behind. This is the last straw for her. She wants out,” the insider said.
Angelina Jolie has yet to comment on the claims that she blames Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston for Oscar snub. So, avid followers of the Gia actress should take all these unverified reports lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
