Armie Hammer, the 38-year-old actor once tipped for stardom, claims he’s staging a Hollywood return after rehab, but insiders doubt Tinseltown will welcome him back.

Sources tell GLOBE his career, derailed by 2021 sexual misconduct and rape allegations, remains toxic. Despite dodging charges, his leaked texts about cannibalism and BDSM fantasies still haunt him.

Hammer, known for “Call Me by Your Name,” boasts of finishing a film with William H. Macy and turning down weekly offers. He insists his infamous messages—like telling an ex he’s “100% a cannibal”—were jokes taken out of context.

Yet, insiders scoff. One snitch says people avoid him, calling him a “dark and menacing presence” audiences won’t forgive.

    Scandal’s Lasting Echoes

The trouble began when multiple women accused Hammer of misconduct, with one alleging rape. Ex-girlfriend Courtney Vucekovich claimed he threatened to break her rib and eat it, likening him to Hannibal Lecter.

His texts, including “I want to eat you,” fueled the fire. Now, the divorced dad of two shrugs it off, saying he likes pushing boundaries. A recent tale of eating a “warm” animal heart on a hunt didn’t help his image.

Hollywood’s cold shoulder persists, the source adds. Transitioning from scandal to screen, Hammer’s optimism clashes with reality. The insider doubts audiences want him back, branding him “damaged goods.” His claims of bustling projects raise eyebrows, given the industry’s hesitance.

    Comeback or Collapse?

Hammer’s fall from grace stunned fans. Once a rising star, he’s now a pariah, despite his rehab stint. He argues he’s misunderstood, not a cannibal, but the stigma lingers. Insiders predict his alleged gigs—like the Macy film—won’t erase the past. For now, his bold comeback talk meets a skeptical crowd, leaving his future dim.
