Princess Kate brought a creative spark home after a Feb. 10 visit to the National Portrait Gallery with schoolchildren. On Feb. 17, 2025, the Princess of Wales, 43, shared charming artwork by her kids—Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6—on Instagram.

The drawings, mostly of Kate herself, delighted royal fans and showcased her little Picassos’ talents. Alongside the post, she wrote, “Drawing portraits with children can provide a moment of connection as you spend time looking at and focusing on one another.”

The sketches earned quick praise. George’s detailed portrait of Kate in an armchair stood out, while Charlotte’s colorful take and Louis’ bold red study charmed followers. Kate, an art history graduate from St. Andrews, even sketched Louis in return.

“She’s well pleased with their artistic skills,” an insider told Star. “She’s happy to share them with others.” As their proud mom, she beams at their talent, the source added, noting her delight in public recognition of their creativity.

Kate’s post wasn’t just a family brag—it tied into her Shaping Us initiative, launched to boost early childhood development. Fresh off announcing her cancer remission in January, she urged parents to nurture kids’ expression.

“These skills are key throughout our lives,” she wrote, explaining how art shapes emotions, communication, and exploration. The drawings, she said, blend creativity with fun, a lesson from her gallery outing.
The princess’s own sketch of Louis echoed her point: Art builds bonds. Fans raved, with George’s work dubbed “impressive” for an 11-year-old.

“She’s their mother, and they are her pride and joy,” the insider said. Kate’s push for emotional growth, backed by her royal platform and personal journey, resonates widely. This sweet moment doubles as a call to action—get kids drawing, she suggests, and watch them thrive.
